After the Ford commercial, Alicia Keyes comes out to ask for donations for help to battle aids in Africa. She introduces Noah–a young boy from Africa. Who are those eight people singing behind him? He is a cutie though.

Since one idol goes home and two stay, it’s going to be a looonnnnggggg hour. A lot of time has to be wasted before they announce who goes and who stays.

Ryan goes through the trips back home with Danny, Kris and Adam. Lots of screaming girls in each town. Did you notice that American Idol didn’t show Danny singing when he went home?Check out our comment section for more info.

This week’s American Idol alumni is Jordan Sparks. Not my kind of song, but she shows that she deserved to be the American Idol.

I really enjoyed watching Adam go home, probably because his home is now my home. I was happy to see that he went to Miramar Air Force Base.

Katy Perry appears wearing a cape with Adam Lambert written on it. Hmm, who is she cheering for do ya’ think?

BTW, did you check out Simon’s t-shirt? He had a huge spot of make-up on his usually pristine white t-shirt.

Ryan announces that the first person to go on to the finals is Kris Allen! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such fear on everyone’s face as they wait to hear Ryan announce if the second finalist is Adam Lambert or Danny Gokey.  Finally, Ryan tells everyone that Adam is the second finalist.  No surpise there–at least for me! 

Danny’s farewell is touching and yes, I cried. His goodness shows through in everything he does and he deserves the best of everything. I hope he gets it.

There were a million votes separating Adam from Kris.  Does this mean that he’s the next American Idol?  Not necessarily, don’t forget that all those Danny voters will be voting next week.
