Adam Mentors The Idols

Adam’s on American Idol again!  Woohoo!  He’s wearing an Elvis-style hairstyle and his signature eye makeup.  He is the first American Idol contestant to be invited back to mentor.  Now I could go off about how he should have been the American Idol instead of Kris Allen, but I’m over it.  Yeah, right.

Tonight’s songs are the hits of Elvis Presley.  First up to perform is Crystal Bowersox with the gospel/bluesy song “Saved”.  Randy said it was like the second coming of Bonnie Raitt.  Ellen said she can’t think of anything new to say, Crystal is always good.  Kara loved her and Simon thought she chose a good song.

Andrew Garcia is second to perform tonight with “Hound Dog”.  Adam encourages him to change it up and he says he’s going to but it doesn’t work for him.  Randy said it was “not good karaoke”.  Ellen disagrees with Randy and says she thinks he pulled it off.  Kara didn’t think he owned the performance. Simon thought it was lazy and unpredictable.  I wonder if it was Andrew’s choice to roam around the stage with that microphone?  I don’t think he’s going to make it past this week with that performance.

Singing “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You” is Tim Urban.  Adam Lambert suggested he finish the song in a falsetto, but Tim didn’t do it.  Randy liked it.  Ellen said it was beautiful.  Kara said it was his best performance.  Simon said, “you went from zero to hero”.  If you looked off to the side, you could see Ryan Seacrest doing a little slow dance with Michael Sarver.  Don’t ask me why, I have no idea.

“Satisfy Me” is the choice of Lee Dewyze tonight.  Randy says he’s in the zone.  Ellen thinks he made the song current and he engaged with the audience more.  Kara said he went for it vocally.  Simon said he nailed the song and it was on the money.  Lee was smiling ear to ear.

Aaron Kelly picks “Blue Suede Shoes”.  Randy said it was half good and half not good.  Ellen gave him an A for effort.  Kara said he went out of his comfort zone and she liked it.  Simon thought it was old fashioned and not original.  I liked this number.  Aaron is a cute kid.

Next up is Siobhan Magnus with “Suspicious Minds”.  Randy said “that girl can sing”.  Ellen liked the second half of the performance.  Kara said she was divided into two people and it was confusing.  Simon thought the first part of the song was terrible and he didn’t think she was hitting all the notes in the second half of the song.  I don’t think she made a good song choice tonight.

Michael Lynche chooses “In the Ghetto”.  Randy thought the song was a little sleepy for him, but his vocals were hot.  Ellen said she’s glad they saved him last week.  Kara and Simon both loved it.  I thought it was too short and when Simon said they were behind schedule, I wondered if they made him cut it?

“Baby What Ya Want Me To Do” is Katie Stevens song choice.  Randy said nice vocals and he was entertained.  Ellen said it was a very horny song–it had a lot of horns in it!  Kara said she showed us.  Simon found it loud and annoying.  I thought she did a good job and I hope she sticks around for awhile.

Don’t forget that tomorrow two contestants will be eliminated instead of one.  At this point, before I hear Casey sing, I think Andrew and WHO???  Someone has to go home, but I don’t have any idea who it will be or who it should be!

The final performance of the night is Casey James.  I’ve been looking forward to this throughout the whole show.  I’m thinking an Elvis song and Casey will be a hot combination!  He’s singing “Loudy Miss Cloudy”.  I have to admit I never heard of this song.  Randy said it was another solid performance.  Ellen said it was good but not as exciting as it could have been.  Kara said his performance fell short.  Simon said it that Casey wasted a good opportunity.  I have to admit, I was disappointed…I thought he could have picked a better song.

Tomorrow night we get to hear Adam Lambert sing!  Next week is American Idol’s Idol Gives Back week.  Now on to Glee…goodnight…Bloggergal

Andrew and Aaron should be going home. I would include Mr Urban but his performance was very good. I am just going to watch the last 1/2 hour as I really don’t like Adam Lambert.

I liked Katie Stevens tonight. I thought her performance was good enough to keep her in the competition. Crystal Bowersox was good as well. I think that Aaron Kelly and Andrew Garcia are in danger of leaving, I didn’t think that their performances were good enough to last in the competition.

I think that Andrew needs to go home soon. Crystal is consistently good, but I think needs to try something different.

I liked Katie Stevens performance it was good and I think Tim did surprisingly good too for once and that is exactly what he needed to stay in this competition. But I think that Aaron is in danger of leaving the competition and so is Andrew bc they did the worst of the night

tim really blew me away this week. he’s getting much better than he started out as. I thought the two to go home would have been siobhan and katie. Aaron Kelly is losing the power he posessed at the begining of the show and casey isnt impressing me as much, though i still think he’s going to win because of his popularity.

I feel Crystal and Casey James are the top runners right now in the idol race. I think Andrew and Aaron are in great danger of leaving soon if they dont start stepping it up every week.

i think casey is still the best but crystal is good too. i am kind of getting tired of her doing the same style over and over again it gets very uninteresting. tim is definatley going home next week, icant see him staying in the compettition much longer. andrew garcia is going to good thing on his own because he has such a great voice, american idol just wasnt his thing.

I think that Tim was the best tonight. he normally dosn’t do well, so I was surpised. I just think acustic is more his style then what he has been trying to do. My bottom for this round were 8)Katie Stevens and 9) Andrew Garcia. I just can’t wait until he goes hoome!

I think Crystal was the top performer for the night. My two to go were Andrew Gracia and Siobhan Magnus.

i thought that Andrew or Michael were not that good, Tim performance was the best i herd from him, and Lee was good like always.

I think the top performer was Michael Lynche. I thought he was really good and don’t think he should go home. The two that i thought didn’t do so good was Andrew Garcia and Crystal Bowersox. But, that’s just my opinion.

I agree with the decision to send Andrew home. I feel that he has been slipping up lately. I also felt that the right decision was made to send Katie Stevens home. I thought Lee had a great preformance, and that really brought him back in the eyes of viewers.

I love Mike! He’s the best out of all of them despite the judges responces. Adam Lambert’s performance was great. he was my vote last year. I’m hoping American Idol will pick a good one this year. :)

personally im glad that andrew went home i thought his voice wasnt any good an gave me a headache, but i think mike will go far but i have a feeling that crystal might take it all but go TIM URBAN

Kelly Bauman Says:

I think the judges wasted a save last week for mike. He was suppose to go home last week and this week he almost got sent home again. This means MIKE needs to go. But im glad my favorites Crystal and Lee were safe. In my opinion i think Crystal is going to win it all.
