I was surprised Haley survived and James went home. Of course I’m happy about that, but I think Bloggergal makes a real good point re: the voting. Just when you think you have it figured out, something else happens.

Liked the girls duet… the boys, not so much. The gals came off more professional and Lauren impressed me again. I loved her black outfit… very stylish. Haley’s outfit… well, it looked like she should find a pole to dance with.

Lady Gaga was interesting… but really, a black bikini, and the positions she was singing in at the end??? Just came off pretty silly and contrived to me. And, how can you look sexy with a mike transmitter attached to your bra top at the back? I liked the song a lot and she sounded good. I like Lady Gaga, but this looked too thrown together.

I thought Enriques sucked.

And let’s go back to Bloggergal’s comment above about AI winners. I’ve never been a big Jordan Sparks fan and could not see why she won… Blake, I think is more talented, but is a bit of a novelty act. And living near Seattle, I see him a lot on local shows. I figured when she matured and got some experience she might do well… I see she still has a way to go. Her act tonight was nothing original and she came off as a poor imitation of Fergie or Britney. If she is a real artist, as they love to say, then she needs to come up with something new, unique to her.

I agree with you Bloggergal, as this is the same week that Daughtry was eliminated. We all see where he is today. I believe James will do better without that AI contract. He can only go up from here. I hope Scotty goes home next. I sure don’t want to see him in the top two.

I agree Haley is a screamer and growler. If you notice since Stephen told her that little growl was nice she has used it in every single song since then. Whatever. She really is not a singer not like Lauren, Scotty or James. someone really screwed up. Then she can’t take any critizism, she sulks where as the others take it and use it to their advantage. She is a brat.

Well said, Pat D., I could not agree more! I also think James was a bit of a ham. But one thing is certain… the finale will be a little lackluster without him.

I CAN NOT stand Haley. Icant believe america screwed up this bad. James had NEVER been in the bottom 3. How many times was Haley. She sucks so bad and no way is Scotty better than James. I cried over this. Its so sad for him. He is better than any of those ppl…

It has been reported that Haley laughed when Pia was voted off. I did not pay attention to that. However, I do know the camera caught her laughing and jiving when James was voted off. Yes, she pouted, argued witht the judges, and showed her true colors by snapping fingers and jiving and singing along when James sang his last song. She got a sympathy vote because she deservedly got criticism.

I hope the other writers are correct when they say James will go on to a good career. This young guy who overcame two handicaps and was able to entertain and remain true to his family deserved more from viewers than Haley. I like Lauren, and Scotty; but, what would it have done for the ego of all the handicapped people of the world if James had made it to the final two? He could have been the standard bearer for overcoming physical (and mental) obstacles. He lives his music and when he is performing, no one would ever know the life he has had to live because the universe threw some real curve balls at him. Haley voters you should be ashamed of yourselves. I can only hope that now, great things are in store for James

That’s exactly what I thought, Donna. Distasteful for a general audience. And a little silly for a guy his age I think.

Just a thought… does anyone think that Haley may have from profited from Casey’s fans throwing their votes her way?

Remember Adam Lambert losing because of voting fraud. I have the documents that prove you can vote for a person 4,700 times in two hours. That is not fair. It is probably happening again this year.

I think that james being eliminated was the right choice. Yes, Haley does scream and growl in her songs, but James screamed throughout his entire performance. James does not sing, and he never has. The final two that i predict will be haley and scotty.

I disagree with Erik W. I think it was James’ time to go home. However, Haley had the same chance to go home as James. As of now, I think Scotty is safe to be in the finals. As for Erik’s reason about the wrong songs picked, I think thats the contestants problems. Singing the song is only half the battle because they need to pick a song the fans like and a song they seem good at singing. I definetley feel that Randy makes sense because the one vote per household would be very fair. Therefore, there wouldnt be any problems.

I also agree with Judi in that Haley should have been the one to go home and in my eyes she should have been gone a while ago. I believe James got robbed but only by one week, the teen voters would have kept Scotty and Lauren regardless. There support is go great it doesn’t matter who else is there. In regards to the whole scandals with voting, I think that voting should be limited to one per houselhold. Keep it like this and you have no problems. My prediction for the final two and Scotty and Lauren with Scotty being the overall winner.

Well, it’s a sad day in the world of American Idol. James Durbin has been voted off and the final three contestants are left fighting for their lives. In my opinion, Scotty and Haley will be the final two, with Scotty reigning supreme in the final.

I believe both Haley and Lauren should have gone home before James. He should have at least made it to the final two.

I am very disappointed that James went home. James was the best singer on the show this whole season, he was not in the bottom 3 once this whole season until just recent in the bottom 2. I believe that the bottom 2 for last week should have been Haley and Lauren, and lauren should have went home. I am glad that scotty is still in it but i really would have liked james to win, but some things are just meant to be. I hope the final 2 singers of american idol will be Scotty and Haley and I want Scotty to win it all.
