And Then There Were Two…

Haley finally was eliminated on American Idol, leaving the finale to Lauren and Scotty.  I know some aren’t happy, but a whole bunch of you are very happy.  I like the young ones, so I don’t mind.

When Il Volo started singing, I was thinking “what?”  But, by the end of their song I wanted them to be the next American Idol.

As usual, the elimination show was filled with a whole lotta nothing to blog about!

Ninety-five million votes is one heck of a lot of votes, huh?  Computer software programs have to be most of those votes.  After all, how many times did you vote?

Scotty’s homecoming with Josh Turner was fun.  He’s a cutie that Josh Turner, isn’t he?

My husband’s theory is that the one who had the biggest crowd at home will be the next American Idol.  I don’t know which one that was though.  He thinks Lauren Alaina had the biggest crowd.

I am hoping to get tickets to one of next week’s shows so I can tell you all about it.  So keep your fingers crossed for me!  G’nite…Bloggergal

Well, I was not surprised. Hate to see Haley go, as I’m not too excited about Lauren or Scotty. I do think Scotty will win, as I have for some time.

I hope you score so tickets, so you can give us a first hand account on the show.

I’m still for Haley. Scotty is cute and sings outstandly for a country singer and Lauren is just not mature enough to handle the title. Nice voice though. Haley would have been perfect as being a bit older to handle the AI title and go out into the music world. I predict she and Scotty will sell the most CDs and videos. Lauren although sweet I cannot see myself buying her CDs. I will certainly buy Haley’s. All great singers so good luck to all of the top 11 on their tour.

I’m surprised to see haley go, I wish it were her and Lauren in the end, I don’t like country music, so I’m not thrilled with scotty still being there, but I guess their are alot of country music fans. :roll:

I really wanted to see Haley and Lauren in the final two. With any luck, Lauren will get most of Haley’s fans voting for her. I agree with Aggie, I don’t care for country music. There are some country songs that are ok, but I just don’t like Scott’s style. Oh well, the winner doesn’t necessarily sell the most CD’s…look at Daughtry for example.

I think all three are great, so whoever left was going to be sad. It’s funny, though. I would so go to see a Haley concert…but I’m not sure I’d buy one of her CDs. I would have no interest whatsoever in seeing Lauren in concert, but I might buy her CD. Scotty, I might like to both see in concert and buy his CD, if I liked country music. But I don’t. Hmmm…guess that makes me wishy washy. But, to be honest, I think Haley is the only one out of the three to have enough self confidence to handle the AI title and succeed in a cut-throat music world. Just my 2 cents.

I was sad to see Haley go. I think she was the most talented and the most unique of the 3. However, now I hope it is Lauren. I am also not a country music fan. I’m from the 60s, man. Gimme classic rock!

I thought the fianle would come down to Scotty and Haley, but Lauren deserves to be in the fianle with Scotty. Being two of the youngest contestants, they are probably the most talented too. I also agree with noah that this is probably one of the worst years , but not because of the contestants, but beacuse of the judges. I felt they took it easy on everyone this year and if Simon were still on the show things would have been different.
