Hi Everybody,

This week’s American Idol is Grand Ole Opry Week.  The mentor for the week is Randy Travis.  He’ll work with the contestants on their upcoming performances.  He will also perform on Wednesday along with Carrie Underwood.  Also performing this week will be Brad Paisley.

This should be an interesting week for a few of the contestants.  It’s hard to go from your own style of singing to a particular type.  I really don’t know why they do this.  If you are a rock singer you are a rock singer.  Why do you have to be good at singing country?  Then, of course, the judges will inevitable comment about how the contestants are suited for “that type” of song.  Yeah?  No kidding.
