American Idol Judges Use The Coveted Save…but on who?
Hi Everyone!
Good news, the cable is working in the motel tonight so I was able to watch American Idol’s results show. However, the Internet still doesn’t work in the room, so I’ll have to go down to the lobby to upload my blog. Tomorrow we leave Fort Collins, Colorado and head towards Grand Junction, Colorado. Colorado is expecting a winter storm so hopefully we’ll get there before it starts.
To fill up some of the result’s show time, the Idol contestants went to a movie premier, posed for a magazine cover and sang a group number.
Then on to the eliminations. First to stand up tonight is Allison. She is safe. Adam Lambert second to stand is also safe. Third up is Anoop and for the third time he’s in the bottom three.
This week’s Idol performance is by Jennifer Hudson. I think she was having problems with her earpiece because she kept touching her ear.
Next to stand up were Lil Rounds and Kris. Ryan tells them one is safe and one is not. Lil Rounds is sent to the bottom three. Last to stand up are Danny and Matt. One is safe and one is not. Danny is declared safe and Matt is once again in the bottom three. Anoop, Lil and Matt are the bottom three. Ryan sends Anoop back to the couch and to safety.
After a performance by Miley Cyrus, Ryan tells Lil Rounds that she is safe. What? Lil is safe and Matt is not? How can that be? He clearly is the better performer. But, it is what it is. Matt has to perform to save his spot for another week. I didn’t hear him sing last night, but I have to be honest, I didn’t think he performed well. The judges have only this week and next to use their save. After he sings, the judges deliberate and it looks like three for the save and one against. Well, you know it has to be unanimous so it doesn’t look good for Matt, but then Simon saves him! The audience erupts in cheers. Do they really think it will matter to save him? Do you see him in the top four ? Adam, Kris, Danny, and Allison are my top four. Then that fifth place is up for grabs. Anoop or Matt? I hate to be redundant but does it really matter? Hopefully, America will vote off Lil Rounds next week, but we will see, won’t we?
At the end of the show, Simon gives the bad news. Not one but TWO will be eliminated and to make matters even worse, it’s disco week. Disco week??? <sigh>
Have a very good week. Stay tuned…Bloggergal1

Matt’s performance was even worse on results night. Simon shouldn’t have saved him. He’s gone next week. Glad to see Anoop was safe. He has no chance of winning but he’s probably the best male voice. He’s got a great ear with really good pitch. Just a voice and nothing else. Lil Rounds has never lived up to her potential. Seems the judges want more but I don’t think she’s got anymore to give.
