Hi Everyone,

I read in my local newspaper that Taylor Hicks is coming to San Diego this month along with the touring company of Grease.  Taylor plays the role of Teen Angel in the Broadway musical.  It’s a small role that includes only one song “Beauty School Dropout”.  Former American Idol winner, Hicks is touring across the country with Grease.  Along with his Grease performance, he tries to perform a solo concert in each city that he goes to.  In San Diego, he’ll be performing at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach.  Unfortunately, it’s this Thursday evening and I won’t be able to be there.  I would have loved to give you a first-hand account of how American Idol #5 is doing.  Taylor has recently released his new album titled The Distance.  Want a taste?  Check out Taylor Hicks Soul Patrol website http://taylorhicks2006.com/.

This week’s American Idol schedule:

Tuesday (8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.) — The last twelve contestants perform for your votes.
Wednesday (8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) — Result show for the seventh, eighth and ninth spots of the top twelve.
Thursday (8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) — The last 3 of the final twelve are chosen in a Wildcard Round.
