There’s a lot going on tonight on American Idol’s results show.  There are performances by Natalie Cole, Taylor Hicks and Jamie Foxx; the usual Ford commercial and a food fight at the mansion.  Oh…and, of course, the results.  Ryan has Kris and Matt stand on one side of the stage, while Allison and Danny stand on the other side.  He then does his old favorite routine of asking Adam to pick a side.  He picks the side with Allison and Danny, but Ryan moves him to the side with Kris and Matt.  He then tells them they are the bottom three.  The audience gets super quiet.  Kris, Matt and Adam are the bottom three?  How can that be?  Allison and Danny are shocked and when Ryan tells them to go sit down, it takes Allison a few seconds to understand that she’s safe. 

After performances by Natalie Cole and Taylor Hicks and a lot of sweating, Ryan sends Kris back to the couch.  This means that either Adam or Matt will go home tonight.  So who do you think is leaving tonight?  Well, there will be a little bit more sweating because first Jamie Foxx has to sing.  Randy is looking a bit surprised.  I think everyone thought Adam would get sent back to the couch. 

I know that everything is supposed to be above board and all…but do you really think Adam didn’t get more votes than Allison?  I know I’m paranoid, but…oh well, never mind.

Finally we get to the end of the hour of torture and Matt Giraud’s American Idol journey comes to an end.  It’s the end of his American Idol journey but I don’t think this will be the last we hear from him. 

The final four face rock ‘n roll week next week with guitarist (hero?) Slash.  It should be another great week of performances.  See you then.  Bloggergal1
