Last Chance for the Guys to Make the Top 12 on American Idol

Starting out tonight’s American Idol is Lee Dewyze.  The judges all made positive comments.  I felt like that they would have said positive things even if he was the worse singer ever.  Are they programmed?  I know a lot of you like Lee Dewyze and I don’t dislike him, but I don’t see anything special [...]

American Idol’s Gals Last Chance Before the Final 12

The American Idol performances are important tonight and tomorrow night because this is the last week of eliminations before the final 12.  Making it this far and then not making it to the top 12 will be heartbreaking for four of American Idol’s contestants.
First up tonight is Katie Stevens.  She chooses Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway”.  Randy [...]

SPOILER – Tonight’s American Idol Results

Once again…this is a SPOILER.  Do not read if you plan to watch American Idol’s results show. My PA friend Deb filled me in early.
Eliminated tonight were Michelle Delamor and Haeley Vaughn for the gals.  I’m actually relieved that Haeley is gone, she needs to go back and work on her singing with lessons, etc. [...]

American Idol Girls Are Much Better Than The Guys…Don’t You Think?

American Idol starts girls night with Crystal Bowersox.  She’s feeling better and thrilled that she’s still on the show.  She sings “As Long As I Can See the Light” by John Fogerty.  Randy loves her.  Ellen says she has pure natural talent.  Kara says she hit a new level.  Simon says he “mis-underestimated” her from [...]

American Idol News

One advantage (I suppose) to living in Southern California is that the local news stations report on American Idol goings-on all the time.  Last night after the show, the local channel reported that Crystal Bowersox was sent to the hospital due to a complication related to diabetes.  They report that she is expected to sing [...]

It’s Guy Night on Idol–Yay!!!

Tonight’s American Idol was supposed to have the gals perform, but because Crystal Bowersox is ill and was taken to the hospital, the guys will perform tonight and the gals will perform tomorrow night.   Did you check out Simon’s shirt?  He’s not wearing his trademark tee tonight.  Kara is all spiffed up too.  Maybe they [...]

SPOILER on the West Coast !!!! American Idol Eliminates the First Four

I’m not going to recap the American Idol results shows.  They take too long and I don’t have enough time.  What I will do is announce who was eliminated each week and give you my take on it.  Sorry that I can’t do more!
Let’s start with the gals.  The first two eliminations aren’t that surprising [...]

American Idol…It’s The Guys Turn

It’s all about the guys tonight on American Idol.  First up tonight is Todrick Hall.  He sings “Since You’ve Been Gone”.  Even though he’s first, he doesn’t come across as nervous.  He’s very familiar with performing.  He just finished up working with Fantasia in The Color Purple.  Ellen says he has stage presence, but the [...]

The Top Twelve American Idol Females Take the Stage

Finally, we’re at the part of American Idol that I love.  Tonight we hear all twelve female contestants sing, tomorrow we hear all twelve males and then on Thursday, the bottom two males and the bottom two females will be eliminated.  In other words, it’s do or die contestants!
Ellen starts us off with a laugh [...]

Finally the Final American Idol Twenty-Four!

American Idol…the Olympics…Shaun White…Top 24.  It was a hard choice, but the Olympics won out.  So I DVR’d American Idol and that’s why the blog is running pretty late.  This Idol is a big one because the remainder of the top 24 are being revealed.  I’m happy to finally see (and hear?) all the contestants.
First [...]
