Hi Everybody!

Here’s hoping you are having a great weekend.  The results of our poll are in.  If you remember, the question was…does America vote for their favorite Idol regardless of the performance or does America vote for the best performance.  With a little over 25 people commenting, the result is most people feel America votes for their favorite performer regardless of the performances that night.  However, the votes were very close.  A lot of you vote for the best performance of the night.  Some of you switch back and forth depending on the circumstances.  In case you haven’t figured it out, I asked because I’m wondering if the American Idol really is the best performer or is the American Idol the most likeable?  I can name some years (and so did you) where the Idol is America’s favorite but definitely not the best performer.  Just some food for thought.

This week, American Idol goes rock ‘n roll.  Slash, guitarist from Guns N Roses, Daughtry and No Doubt will all make appearances.  Speaking of Slash, did anyone read his biography?  It was a really good read–he’s had one interesting life!  I expect Kris, Adam and Allison to do a bit better than Danny.  Danny just seems more pop than rock to me. 

Off topic, I just want to thank Dr. B. and his classes for hanging out here with me this season.  I love reading all your comments and I’m happy to see kids studying music!
