Sarver Sent Packing On American Idol
Hi Everybody,
This week’s American Idol results show was packed with stars…Smokey, Stevie, Ruben. Well, maybe Ruben isn’t exactly a star, but he is a past American Idol. When he performed, I listened closely because I wanted to see if he really should have been an American Idol. I like when he sings those slow romantic type songs. But, alas, halfway through the song my mind had drifted off. There just wasn’t enough there to hold my attention.
Also performing was Joss Stone. I’ll confess I had to Google her. She has a great voice but I’m not familiar with her work. I’m going to use that she’s from England as my excuse. But, I’m sure that’s why she performed tonight. Now everyone knows who Joss Stone is, don’t they?
I have to admit that the Ford commercials are my favorite part of the results show. Pocketful of Sunshine really highlights the girls’ voices. This song is perfect for Megan Joy and Allison. I wouldn’t mind this song on my IPod.
A quick results summary. Adam Lambert is safe. Matt Giraud is the first of the bottom three. Kris Allen is safe. Lil Rounds is safe. Michael Sarver is the second of the bottom three. Allison Iraheta is safe. Anoop Desai will be here next week. Danny Gokey isn’t going anywhere. Megan Joy is safe. The third person in the bottom three is Scott McIntyre.
Just like every week, Ryan sends one of the bottom three back to safety. I was convinced it would be Matt but no, surprise, surprise…it’s Scott McIntyre. Matt definitely doesn’t belong in the bottom two and Michael Sarver must know his fate is sealed.
Off topic, why on earth does Simon wear his undershirt to the results show? Someone with his amount of money can afford something a little more upscale than that. I don’t really mind the black tee shirts, but this shirt is so flimsy it can only be described as an undershirt.
Michael Sarver has the lowest votes and he has to sing to remain on the show. Ironic that his song includes the line “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” isn’t it? The judges are dancing and enjoying his number but not really consulting with each other. After he finishes, the judges start to consult and Simon says they haven’t reached a decision. But when all is said and done, Michael Sarver is eliminated from this year’s American Idol.
See you next week! Bloggergal1
